Opis
I read this book in one sitting. I was enraptured by the words, “Nothing was rushing me. Nobody was putting pressure on me,” and by the message I found between the lines: “Stop! Pause. Breathe easy. Get some rest!” This is a perfect reading for today’s highly active generation which falls into a panic when they can’t find Wi-Fi, and for the rushing-with-the-tongue-stuck-out mob nervously trying to find a parking space outside the supermarket.
Quietness, calmness. Studzieniczne Lake. And the incredible discovery that in Jesus’s words about worrying (Mathew 6:25) there is no such word as “excessively”.
And who writes about this? The one who, without beating around the bush, confesses: “Hyperactivity was one of my biggest problems and I had not yet mastered the great skill of dolce far niente (‘doing sweet nothing’), as the Italians, specialists in this field, call it.”
“Do not be anxious about your life” – these are the original words.
Do not be anxious about anything.
You are in the best hands in the world.
